You may have noticed the removal of the Online Top-Up function from our current website. This change is part of our shift away from "pay and play" charges as we work to reduce the significant credit and debit card fees the club has been incurring.
Our preferred payment method is now Direct Debit.
To streamline this process, we are introducing an Auto-Top Up feature. This convenient option automatically refills your account when your balance falls below a set threshold. You can customise the top-up amount and frequency to suit your preferences—whether daily, weekly, monthly, or annually—with email confirmation sent when the direct debit payment goes out for collection.
Starting on 1st October, to continue enjoying the Members' discount, payments must be made using your Member Card. All other payment methods will be subject to the non-member rate.

Will the automatic top-up happen while I'm spending at the bar?
No, the automatic top-up doesn’t happen instantly. It runs at 09:00 and 16:00 every day, which should cover most of your spending.
If I set thresholds, why do I also need to select a frequency?
The frequency setting controls how often your account can be automatically topped up—options include daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly. This is useful for managing joint or family accounts and helps control spending.
For example, if you choose a monthly frequency and your balance drops below the threshold in October, the system will top up your account. However, if it happens again that same month, no more top-ups will occur until November 1st, unless you manually add funds.
Some members prefer frequent, smaller top-ups (daily or weekly), while others choose larger, less frequent top-ups (monthly or yearly). If your balance stays above the threshold, no top-up will be triggered.
If my balance falls below the top-up level during a transaction, will I still get member pricing, or is the top-up instant?
If your balance falls below the top-up threshold during a transaction and you’ve already used your auto top-up for that period, you can manually top up at the till with a debit or credit card.
Alternatively, you can charge the remaining balance to your membership account, and it will be settled by direct debit the next working day. This way, you’ll still get your member discount for the transaction.
If I think my balance might fall below the top-up level during a visit, how can I top it up?
We recommend setting up a direct debit to avoid extra card fees. However, you can also manually top up your account in advance at the bar or at reception during office hours.
There may be times, such as Thursday Night Racing, when top-ups on the first floor won’t be available. We’ll let members know in advance about these occasions.
