A respected RYA Training Centre for power and sail, we run extensive training courses for all ages and abilities throughout the year, including women only lessons. A British Youth Sailing Recognised Club, our thriving Junior and Youth section which takes youngsters from their first sail up to international competition level. Our Junior and Youth fleets deliver outstanding coaching in Optimists, RS Tera, Laser, RS Aero, RS Feva, 420, 29er and team racing, led by dedicated Head Coach, Hugh Styles, previously voted Coach of the Year 2019 by the British Sailing Team.

Cruising Programme

COMMUNITY YOUTH PROGRAMME

Our unique Wednesday Junior Sailing (WJS) programme has run for over 40 years throughout April to September. WJS offers 8-17 year olds, members or non-members, the opportunity to learn lifelong skills on and around the water.

Other on the water Activities

Royal Lymington Yacht Club hosts local, national and international keelboat and dinghy racing events throughout the season. Our RYA registered Training Centre offers a variety of courses for kids and adults alike, while our Cruising division regularly organises sociable rallies and events for both sailing and motor yachts. A series of lectures, dinners and social events keep members entertained in the winter months too.
